Fordite Link Bracelet

$895.00
Sold Out

Fordite, also known at Detroit agate , is not a mineral but old automotive paint that came from the assembly lines of the Ford Motor Co. It is the over-spray that hardened sufficiently enough to be cut and polished by lapidary artists. The process that fordite came from is no longer in use making the material harder and harder to find. Enjoy the history of this Michigan repurposed material when wearing this link bracelet. It tells a story of where we came from and where we are today.

Details:

  • approximately 7” in length

  • sterling silver with fordite

  • can be remade with alternative stones
