Datolite Necklace

$245.00
Sold Out

This rare porcelaneous variation of Datolite is only found in the Keweenaw Peninsula in a wide range of colors from small copper inclusions to orange to red to pink. The old copper mines of Michigan’s historic copper country produced this stunning mineral. Datolite commonly occurs in the deposit host rock in veins and vesicles. It is often found as a round cauliflower-looking crystal that was left from mining copper. If you find Datolite in the Keweenaw, you can be certain there is copper nearby.

Details:

  • Oxidized sterling silver & datolite

  • One of a kind
