Large Opal Fire Ring

Pictures can’t capture the way light reflects off these gorgeous opal stones. Found in Australia, the opals were mined from large ironstone boulders from deep underground. The beautiful pools of color can’t be overstated. Stone cutters tend to back the thin layer of opal with a thick layer of ironstone to support the gorgeous slice of Australian opal.
